We're here to make the world a better place. For us, that starts with software and ends with clean water around the globe.

Why'd you guys create Sunago?

For years, software companies have been charging churches and non-profit organizations exhorbitant amounts of money for applications that, well, suck. Why break the bank for software that's a pain to use, involves contracts and lock-in, works only on certain platforms, and is ultimately avoided by your staff and volunteers?

We thought we could do better.

Sunago was designed around the specific needs of a rapidly-growing church in Portland, Oregon called Imago Dei Community. We started with the basics, then began to dream - what if we had a way to keep track of our members, communicate with them, and build reports to help make important strategic decisions? What if we had a private, secure social space for our members to come, share life, and help one another? What if we had a way to allow parents to securely check their children into child care with a simple touchscreen kiosk?

What if all of this happened in one place, without separate, disconnected databases with outdated information? And what if we could do it for a fraction of the cost of everyone else? What if we could change the world while trying?

Good software works. Great software saves lives.

But it doesn't stop there. As we began to build the company, we wondered - what if Sunago could help others, too? Each subscription funds sustainable, grassroots economic development in third-world countries through constructing wells and offering Kiva.org microloans.

Microcredit partnerships empower entrepreneurs to build sustainable economies in their villages. As our small business grows, others spring up around the world to create wealth in areas in need. Good software works. But great software saves lives.

So that's where we're at.

Sunago is up and running, and we're working to grow the company to empower both the churches and non-profits using the software, as well as develop sustainable partnerships with developing communities worldwide.

Will you join us?
